


On the 6th of April 2005, cousins Jamie Mackenzie and Ben Wylson set off on their bikes on a journey which will take them to over 50 countries and to every one of the worlds great continents, all without the use of an aeroplane.

Very kindly, the father of one of Ben's clients has donated a Global Positioning System to FWE. At the touch of a button, we will be able to let you know exactly where we are on the earth's surface.

Jo Self, our patron, has kindly donated her car -a black 1954 Austin- to be auctioned for Free Wheels East and ITDG.

Yesterday we went into London to take pictures of Jo and the painting she has donated called 'Petunia'. Look out for the photographs on the website.

Wednesday, February 02, 2005: dontwalk to film ride
Dontwalk are a new-media and video production company who have decided to take on the filming of Free Wheels East over the next three years.
Currently Dontwalk are in the process of organising a meet-up with Bruce Parry -the presenter of BBC2's 'Tribe'. We want lots of advice on how to film in the middle of nowhere!

Jo has kindly donated a painting: 'Petunia' -2001 71x71cm which she describes as being 'Red Like Indian Summer!'
